John M. Rocco,
Executive Vice President
With 30 years of experience in the pharmaceutical, biological and chemical sectors, John Rocco heads the Mundy’s pharma/biotech division.
Before joining Mundy, John was a member of Bayer’s senior
management team in the U.S. and served as manufacturing vice president
in North America. As vice president of Bayer Material Science LLC
and general plant manager of Bayer’s Baytown Industrial Park
in Baytown, Texas, John was responsible for Bayer’s largest
chemical manufacturing complex in the Americas.
John’s career included positions as director of manufacturing
for Animal Health Products and as vice president of technical operations
U.S. with responsibility for multi-site pharmaceutical, biological
and chemical manufacturing operations in the U.S. John also served
as vice president of manufacturing, rubber and rubber chemicals
with responsibility for multi-site operations in the U.S.
Before joining Bayer, John served in various levels of pharmaceutical
manufacturing operations and financial management with Pfizer,
Inc.
During his business career, John has been principally responsible
for manufacturing and manufacturing – support operations. In these
roles he was accountable for successfully leading a number of key
change management efforts to include pursuit of the Malcolm Baldridge
Award and Class A Manufacturing at Pfizer, as well as Operational
Excellence and SAP implementation at Bayer.
In each case, productivity improvement, team work development,
safety consciousness, cost reduction, asset utilization, culture
change and competitive advantage were key deliverables in becoming
world-class manufacturing companies.
John has B.S. Engineering degree from the U.S. Military Academy at
West Point and received his EMBA from Columbia University in New
York.
John has served on numerous industry boards during his career and is currently a member of ISPE, the International Society of Pharmaceutical Engineers. |
